Ton leads GHD’s smart city and places strategy, which includes the creation of Smart Cities and precincts, innovation ecosystems, connected buildings, critical infrastructure, transport and campuses.
He has played an influential role in the Western Sydney planning and NSW Port & Logistics strategy, led by his publication proposing a digitally enabled (fresh food) Agribusiness precinct, leveraging the Dutch model for food production and logistics.
He sits on the national technical advisory board of the Australian Computer Society as part of the Internet of Things committee and supports the industry on sustainable use of data through the Sustainable Digitisation Project (https://www.sdp.digital).
Through his in-depth global experience with emerging technologies and business transformation, he supports his clients with the application of technologies to enable opportunities of the digital economy and supporting their community and business outcomes.
