Shilpa Mohan is the Senior Interior Designer at DDC Architecture + Interior Design. DDC is the largest architectural and design practice in the Lower Blue Mountains and works on a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial and public projects. Including houses, apartment buildings, warehouses, churches and the largest temple in Australia.

Shilpa has had an active part in building the interior design side of DDC and was the only female Rising Star Finalist in the 2018 Australian Timber Design awards and has built the interior design side of the business. Shilpa will soon be the Director of Design of mallee co., an Australian designed and manufactured furniture and homewares company, which will go hand in hand with her design work for DDC. Shilpa is extremely passionate about all aspects of design, but in particular; education on trends, construction processes, manufacturing processes and working with various consultants at early stages so that the design is seamless from the beginning.  She believes that design should be fluid and adapt to the environment, the style of the existing building or built environment and the clients’ taste, so adhering to one particular style has never been part of her thought process and she relishes the opportunity and challenges that come with designing to different styles and eras.
