Sagar Thorat is an Architectural Engineer and experienced BIM Technologist with over 12 years in the AEC Industry working in material fabrication technologies, marine and bespoke building envelopes to large scale mixed-use building projects across APAC, The EU and USA. More recently, Sagar has furthered his experience having worked at other software vendors in this industry before joining Bricsys and Hexagon.

Sagar earned his Master’s Degree in Architectural Engineering from the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands and a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) degree from Sir. J.J College of Architecture, Mumbai University.

As a BIM Specialist he has implemented BIM & VDC technologies in multiple organizations across the AEC Industry globally. His special interest lies in OpenBIM, Computational Design and the integrations of 5D VDC technologies.
