Robin is a Senior Digital Engineering Manager in the Digital Advisory team at Beca, with 14 years’ experience working on major projects across Africa and New Zealand. Coming from a Design-Build background, he understands the need for accurate coordination, as well as the requirements of the construction process, leading him to champion the use of Digital Engineering tools and processes across the life cycle of a project. His experience has taken him across various sectors of the construction industry, including Industrial services for breweries and arms manufacturing, to building services design for healthcare, schools and retail. Currently Robin is leading the  several NZ Defence Alliance projects, Water Treatment Projects for Christchurch and Hamilton city councils and the Services/Civil Utilities design of the New Totara Haumaru Building on the North Shore Hospital Campus.

Robin's approach to projects is of an "Open BIM" delivery, not putting the limitations of the available software before the requirements of the clients project delivery needs. Having a background in different design packages, he enjoys creating workflows to bridge the gap between different deliverables, creating easier methods of working, driving collaborative cultures on projects and ultimately delivering best for project results."
