I am a Senior Quantity Surveyor with Downer and have 9 years’ experience in the construction industry in the commercial space on the Contracting side of the fence. I hold a bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying and am a huge advocate for using technology to be more efficient and to work smarter instead of harder. I have worked in South Africa, East Africa, Middle East and Australia across multiple infrastructure and residential projects with well renowned tier 1 Contractors from Stefanutti Stocks, Al Naboodah Construction Group and Downer on large scale projects such as Parallel Roads Upgrade (Business Bay Dubai - $450 million), Berry to Bomaderry Princes Highway Upgrade (NSW $300 million), Warrnambool Line Upgrade ($220 million). In the commercial space I deal with Contract management, Forecasting, Procurement and so much more where I have realised that technology is not utilised to its full potential in the way we do our day to day works and I would like for the Construction to be more innovative in the coming years. I have immense passion for the construction industry and love what I do and do it with the utmost passion and would like to see the industry flourish for many years to come as without construction there will be no infrastructure, commercial building, houses and any other services which makes life ‘comfortable’.
