Frank Alvarez is a world leader in creating retail environments and he has influenced the evolution of the shopping experience by working on the world’s most significant retail property assets. Franks’ work integrates planning, architecture, urban, landscape and industrial design to create an experience that celebrates the desires of retailers and consumers. This is achieved through a process that re-programmes the existing parameters of retail and public spaces by focusing on inserting new or renewed shopping destinations into a context with an emphasis on reflecting retailer demands and consumer’s elective time, then staging a series of retail environments strategised through an evocative plan and architecture.

Frank believes this consumer-centric design process unlocks value, is the key to retailer success and results in vibrant social spaces.

Franks's career has seen him direct the design and oversee such projects as the proposed redevelopment of Wintergarden Brisbane and the Funan Mall Singapore, the retail masterplan of Springfield City Centre North, the retail components of the new San Francisco International Airport Terminal 1, and the Myer Store of the Future. While leading design teams for the Westfield Group, Frank oversaw landmark projects such as Bondi Junction and Westfield Sydney, while also contributing to projects in California, New Jersey, Sydney, and London.
