Work experience
1976- Assistant site engineer for DiFabrizio Steel Fabrications constructing Yallourn W and Jeeralang 1 power stations.
1980- Structural design engineer with Rankine & Hill Engineers. Design for structures, eg BP service station forecourt canopies. Admin and supervision of steel fabrication for the Pukekohe sponge iron plant in Auckland NZ. Site supervision for HUD Engineering erecting steelwork for Tap Shek Kok cement plant Hong Kong.
1983- Computer admin and programming for Rankine & Hill Melbourne - Prime 550 minicomputer.
1985- Purchase, admin and customisation for Eagle Cad software running on Sun UNIX workstations
1990's: QikDraw, Ray Smith, Caddsman, Trippett Sheddon, Bentley Systems (TriForma product manager),
1998-2000 BricsNet NV in Ghent, Belgium - software designer for 'Bricsnet Architecturals'
2000- DotCom crash. Cad modeler for Blight Architects (using Revit)
2002: Cad Modeler for Billard Leece Partnership (using TriForma)
2003-4 SCS Software - selling, supporting and training for '12D Model' civil engineering software.
2004-2020: founded Sofoco to sell and support BricsCAD in Australia. Selling BricsCAD software, supporting users and resellers. Sofoco also sells Parabuild structural steel detailing software.
